Where are you based?

Donnie Barko HQ is in Newcastle Australia. The brand, designs, customer support and general chaos all happen here.

Where are your products printed and shipped from?

We work with print-on-demand production partners in Australia and the USA. That means your gear is printed after you order it, not pulled off a shelf. Orders are automatically routed to the first available printer that can produce your chosen item/s (based on things like product, size, colour and availability) and get it out as quickly as possible.

Where is your size chart?

A size chart for our basic tees is linked here, and on each product page for easy reference.

We strongly recommend checking it before ordering, as fit can vary between styles. Even if you usually know your size, it’s always worth a quick look - apparel has a funny way of keeping people on their toes.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Because everything is made to order, dispatch isn’t instant. Most orders are printed within a few business days, then shipped after that.

Delivery times can vary depending on where you are and where the item is being produced, but in Aus we’re generally within two weeks, and often under one. In short - not Amazon, but worth the wait.

Will I get tracking?

Yep - you’ll receive tracking details once your parcel has been shipped. If your order is being sent in more than one delivery, you’ll receive multiple tracking updates. Please keep an eye on your inbox, and it’s always worth checking your junk folder too, just in case.

Why can there sometimes be more than one delivery fee?

Because we print on demand, your order is routed to the nearest available facility that can produce each item. Sometimes that means everything comes from one place, and sometimes it means products are made at different facilities depending on the item, size, colour or stock availability.

If an order is split, separate shipping charges can apply. We don’t make a profit on shipping - those rates are set by our print partners. The upside? Order any 3 products across the store and shipping is on us.

Do you ship internationally?

Damn skippy we do! And all shipping discounts apply wherever you are, so go nuts. Maybe your nan in the Congo wants 3 tees with baked beans on them for Christmas?

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Maybe, but only if you’re quick! Because orders move into production fast, we can’t guarantee changes or cancellations once they’ve been placed. If you need to fix an address, size or order mistake, contact us ASAP and we’ll do our best before the printers get their hands on it.

What if my item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect?

If we’ve stuffed something up, or your item arrives damaged or with a clear print fault, let us know with photos and your order number. We’ll review it and quickly sort out a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Why can’t I return for change of mind?

Your order is made just for you once you place it. Rather than pulling items off a shelf, we print to order, which means we’re not able to restock returns for change of mind.

To help you make the most informed choice, we include detailed size charts for all our threads.

Parcel tracking says my order has been delivered but I haven't got it - help!

First things first - breathe! This stuff happens and is always fixable.

First check around your letterbox, front door, side gate, safe places and with neighbours. Couriers and AusPost love getting creative with “safe locations”.

If it still hasn’t turned up, get in touch and we’ll help investigate. We can request delivery scans, photos and vehicle GPS records from the carrier where available.

Why does my print look slightly different to the screen?

We take a lot of care to make sure our product images are as true to life as possible, but colours can still appear a little different from screen to screen.

That means what you see on your phone or computer may vary slightly from the real thing.

What is "Print on Demand"?

Print on Demand means your item is made just for you after you order it. We don’t mass print and stack shelves full of shirts in every size and colour.

It’s a more flexible way to run the shop, cuts down on waste, and lets us keep making weird, niche stuff that big retailers wouldn’t touch.

What is "Direct-to-Garment" (DTG) printing?

DTG means the design is printed directly onto the shirt fabric using specialised ink. Compared with screen printing, it usually feels softer and is better suited to detailed, full-colour artwork.

Can I submit ideas for product designs?

You can, and we actually love seeing what people want to wear, but we get a bunch of requests, and can’t promise every idea will become a real product.

Send ideas and reference imagery to info@donniebarko.com and if we design it for the shop, we'll chuck you a freebie!

But please, no requests for one-offs or customs - we're not that shop.
